Start of studies for StartUp Management and Sustainability Management

For most of the students, the start of their studies was almost two months ago: the students of the new bachelor degree programmes StartUp Management and Sustainability Management began their studies at IMC Krems on Monday. Tanja Ihden, Head of the StartUp Management programme, welcomed 35 students and accompanied them through the day. Karl Michael Höferl, Head of the Sustainability Management programme, welcomed 25 new students.

IMC CEO Ulrike Prommer was delighted with the new intake: ‘We are proud that we have been able to successfully launch these two degree programmes for the first time and thus make our range of courses even more attractive.’

Realisation of business ideas

The English-language bachelor degree programme in StartUp Management enables students to effectively plan their professional goals and realise innovative ideas. In addition to theoretical knowledge, practical insights into the central concepts of start-up management provide a clear competitive advantage when realising business ideas and cooperating with potential partners.

‘During the course of the programme, we not only prepare students to make valuable connections and impress potential investors, but also provide them with practical insights into all facets of start-up management to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills,’ says Tanja Ihden, Head of the StartUp Management programme.

A career in sustainability management

The English-language bachelor degree programme in Sustainability Management prepares students for careers in sustainability management and the circular economy. In addition to a fundamental understanding of sustainable principles, the programme focuses on adapting management strategies to the complex requirements of global markets in an ecological context.

‘The programme focuses on the ‘triple bottom line’ - the foundation of sustainable management: companies should strive for economic success while also assuming social and ecological responsibility,’ explains Karl Michael Höferl, Head of the Sustainability Management degree programme.
