The courage to ask the right questions

Lili Slézinger is studying International Business and Economic Diplomacy. For eight months she worked at Raiffeisen International in Vienna, at the organisational innovation unit. Lili Slézinger studies International Business and Economic Diplomacy. For her, the international atmosphere and experience that the professors bring to the classroom make this programme so unique and valuable.

Why did you decide to study at IMC Krems?

As an export graduate I decided to continue my studies at IMC and study International Business and Economic Diplomacy. I chose this programme as it offers a great variety of subjects and does not only put the focus on theory but also provide practical insights.

What were the special features of the study programme for you?

I believe learning the theory is just as important as being able to present and negotiate in a business environment. Through many challenging projects and group work, we could acquire these skills and practice in a safe environment.

What did you benefit from the most?

For me, the international atmosphere and experience that the professors bring to the classroom make this programme so unique and valuable.

Do you have any tips for future students?

Invest time into understanding the topics and discuss them with other students and professors as it helps with the learning process. Participate as much as possible in the group projects because through those, you can improve your social skills, learn from others and make mistakes.

Can you use the know-how you took away from your studies professionally?

Yes! The open mindset that the professors bring to the classroom with years of professional experience made me dig deeper into topics and be brave to ask the right questions and confidentially make decisions at my workplace.

Would you recommend the International Business and Economic Diplomacy master programme to others?

I would recommend it to people who are willing to learn in an international environment. If you look for a programme that provides many aspects of nowadays’ business environment with a sense of diplomacy, this is the right one for you.
