Focus on practical application at research forum
This year, IMC Krems will use the forum to highlight the practical applications of research currently being carried out at Austria’s universities of applied sciences . Titled LET’S APPLY SCIENCE! Forum for Research, Business and Impact, the event promises to be an inspirational platform where representatives of universities of applied sciences, the business sector and funding providers can compare notes and share ideas.
Theme for 2024: LET’S APPLY SCIENCE! Forum for Research, Business and Impact
Research has a vital function – it addresses key questions and challenges facing businesses and society. An annual fixture on the university of applied sciences calendar, the Research Forum provides a stage to showcase the impacts of the wide range of research initiatives that the universities are involved in. Project presentations, in-depth interdisciplinary panel discussions, and the opportunity to forge important new ties with research and business partners as well as funding providers are just a few of the highlights that participants can look forward to.
Current research topics in a range of different tracks will be presented, and discussions will centre on the role that research has to play in and of itself.
The seven tracks:
1. Let’s apply economics!
The tug-of-war between innovation and transformation
2. Let’s apply green chemistry and biotechnology!
Sustainable chemistry, fermentation technology and the potential of regenerative medicine
3. Let’s apply digitalization!
Digital transformation and data engineering
4. Let’s apply health and social sciences!
How resilience can transform our society
5. Let’s apply collaboration!
Business matchmaking: business meets research and funding providers
6. Let’s apply artificial intelligence!
The interdisciplinary track centred on AI
7. Let’s apply technology!
