Our university has a distinctive international flair: the students hail from over nations and more than half of our courses are offered in English. 

The university town of Krems has a character all of its own. You'll be studying in the very heart of Europe at three unique locations: IMC Campus Krems, and the historic IMC Piaristengasse and IMC Gozzoburg sites. A truly unique combination. 

There's also lots to discover in your free time. Spectacular mountain scenery, magnificent European cities, and the Wachau UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Region – all this and more are only a short train ride away from Krems.

Applying made easy

You're already one step ahead and are ready to apply? The application process is the same as for Austrian students. All degree programmes and continuing education courses are open to you, provided that you meet the admission requirements. Here's a tip: for most programmes, video calls (e.g. Skype) are an option if you can’t visit us in person.

Tuition fees

If you're a national of an EEA member country, you'll pay the standard tuition fees of 363.36 EUR per semester plus 24.70 EUR student union dues. You can find out about tuition fees for non-EU/EEA nationals in our overview of costs.

Scholarships and grants

Our university does not award scholarships for reduced tuition fees. However, any student with an excellent academic record can receive a merit-based scholarship once during their degree programme. You’ll receive further information on the programme.

Getting off to a good start in Krems

If you've just arrived here in Krems, then our Buddy System and Welcome Days have been specially designed for you.

By the way: Every exchange student is allocated a buddy, a student who will be your contact during your time in Krems. This system is designed to help you settle in more easily, and buddies often go on to become lifelong friends

At the beginning of the semester, we organise a colourful programme for new students: Meet & Greet, city tours of Krems, team building, intercultural workshops and excursions.
